The desire to disconnect and to spend vacations multiply with the arrival of the sun. Many people already think about the moment when they turn off the computer, pack the luggage, close the door and board the first plane that takes them as far as possible.

This is why we would like to give you a few safety tips so that, while you are away, the only thing that reigns at your home is tranquillity.
- Beware of social networks: We know that it is very difficult to resist posting those wonderful and irresistible photos from Bali but, when you post them, you are also informing that there is nobody in your house.
- Help from family or friends: It is always advisable to have a relative, friend or neighbour to look after the letters or advertising in your mailbox (a full mailbox is very easy to associate with an empty and uninhabited house), water the plants, open and close blinds, turn on and off some lights.
- Make sure to close well: Although it seems obvious, make sure to close the doors, balconies and windows. It is also advisable to leave the blinds half up. Any precaution to prevent them from entering the house is paltry.
- Turn off the gas and water faucet: If you want to avoid bad times, do not forget to close the shut-off valves, as you assure that there is no possibility for an escape or leakage. The same applies in reference to the heater. Once it is off, no short circuits can occur.
- Forget the spare keys: No matter how safe you think your hiding place is, it is much better if you leave the key to a relative or a friend. We should not risk to make it too easy for a burglar.
- Connect your alarm: It may seem obvious, but the rush is a very bad adviser and, when leaving the house, overloaded with luggage and in hurry, it is very easy to forget to connect the alarm.
